Gratefulness…

Why is it that when we have so much, we always want more? Why is it that when we are at our lowest, we are more thankful for what we have? Why do we only give thanks once a year; shouldn’t we be thankful every time something good happens or we get something expensive?

The only answer that I think of, for all those questions is: We take too much for GRANTED! And, we only do this because we don’t know what it’s like to have nothing and we don’t want to know because we’re SCARED.

Well, let me just say that if you don’t know what it’s like to NOT have clean clothes or your own bed to sleep in; you should not want more than what you currently have because you have everything you need to live a HAPPY & COMFORTABLE life.

AND, if you’re still not happy with all that you have, then I suggest searching for answers elsewhere, rather than buying more expensive things (look at what you have, not want you want).
I mean, (ya, sure) sometimes it can feel good to purchase an expensive item that you’ve wanted for a while; it gives you a sense of purpose and makes you feel like you accomplished something.
However, if every time you’re feeling low, you go out and buy something, that ritual will loose value and you will become stuck in the everyday motions of life & that’s no fun (that’s when life starts to feel repetitive and lifeless).

That’s why, you have to continue to be thankful for what you HAVE because one day all the things that surround you, will become meaningless and you will have nothing else to look forward to in life.

Make life count; Live a meaningful life through gratefulness!

“warmly or deeply appreciative of kindness or benefits received; thankful, gratitude: I am grateful to you for your help.”

Gratitude means thankfulness, counting your blessings, noticing simple pleasures, and acknowledging everything that you receive. It means learning to live your life as if everything were a miracle, and being aware on a continuous basis of how much you’ve been given.

Overthinking…

Does the future give you anxiety? Do you feel stressed about little things? Do you feel like you’re not really living? Everything around you just happens, and you feel like you have no control over any of it?

These questions usually come up when you are overthinking something for too long. This gives you a feeling of not knowing what to do anymore because OVERTHINKING causes DOUBT!

AND…

“DOUBT KILLS DREAMS MORE THAN FAILURE EVER WILL!”

Let me get things straight:

  1. You know that failing is part of life.
  2. Everyone fails.
  3. It helps you improve.

So, knowing all these things are true: Why is it that, when you doubt yourself, you get scared of failure?

Well, I don’t exactly know the right answer to that question, but I can tell you that YOU SHOULD NEVER DOUBT YOURSELF WHEN YOU KNOW SOMETHING IS IMPORTANT TO YOU!

While you follow your dreams, you will fail (multiple times), but if you never doubt yourself, you will get there one day. And, that day will be the happiest day of your life!

Belongingness…

Do you ever feel like you don’t belong? Do you ever ask yourself the question: Where do I belong?
Well, my friend, let me just say that if you have ever asked these questions; You are NOT alone!!

Everyone wants to belong and be part of something. It’s human nature!

“Belonging means acceptance as a member or part. Such a simple word for a huge concept. A sense of belonging is a human need, just like the need for food and shelter. Feeling that you belong is most important in seeing value in life and in coping with intensely painful emotions.”

If you ever feel like you don’t have a place in this world, just remember that everyone feels that way sometimes, You are NOT alone. Find someone else who is alone because chances are they want to be accepted as well.

Some people find their belonging very easily, while others need to be reminded that they really do belong and that they are important.

So, next time you feel alone, find someone else who is also alone; Find your place in this world. I know it can be difficult at times, but trust me, it will all be worth it. The hard things to overcome are usually worth more!
And, if you do feel like you belong, don’t be afraid to find people that seem alone and that need to be reminded that they belong and that they are accepted.
