It doesn’t matter if you’re traveling in a new country or exploring & discovering yourself; you should always use some sort of compass (or map)!
. . .
Your moral compass is one of the best compasses you can have because it will always lead you in the right direction on a trip, or in the voyage of life!
In the nature VS nurture debate, one of the main arguments is about morals and where they come from, and why people do the things they do.Well, I believe it’s really just both.
Depending on how much peer pressure you can handle: How reliable is your moral compass? Do you have integrity? Are your morals strong enough that you will follow them no matter what, or will you give into peer pressure.
. . .
- Nature means that you are easily affected by peer pressure because you grew up with a weaker moral compass that you didn’t use much.
- Nurture means that your morals are strong and nothing will pressure you into doing something that you feel is wrong because you grew up using your moral compass a lot and you know how to use it.
So, even if you believe that one is stronger than the other, you should always make sure you know how to use your moral compass & that it is strong enough to lead you through the peer pressure trips of life.
