Hi! How are you? Thanks again for waking up so early (6am) to chat/read.
If you didn’t read last weekend’s coffee share, click here: Weekend coffee share…
“Black & White. The 2 most important colors to a writer.”
So, for this weekend’s coffee share, I’m going to share my thoughts about that ^ statement with you.
So, first, when people ask you: “Why do you write?”
-What do you normally answer?
. . .
For me, I used to just answer: “Because I want to share my adventures…spread positivity…& encourage others to travel.”.
But, while that is definitely still true, my answer has slightly changed since I started writing because I, now, understand what makes writing so exciting & fascinating.
. . .
1- I find it fascinating that some simple black letters on a white page can make for such an interesting story.
2- I find it fascinating that I can form words & sentences with those black letters that will really POP on the white page.
3- I find it fascinating that black & white are the simplest colors yet, they create the best images & tell the biggest stories.
4- I find it fascinating that I can invent my own words to explain something, & I don’t fail because of it, I actually get positive feedback.
5- I find it fascinating that I can share my adventures with others so vividly that they can sense that they’re there as well.
6- I find it fascinating that simply writing (or typing) a single page (of anything) can be an escape from reality.
7- I find it fascinating that the simplest words make the biggest impact on a story. Without one specific word, a story changes drastically.
8- I find it fascinating that I can be creative & create something without actually drawing. (Which is good cuz I’m not great at drawing.)
9- I find it fascinating that I can create a vivid image without drawing, & using only the colors, black & white.
Thanks for reading!

Really great post. Number 8 definitely applies to me too – especially the part in brackets 😂👍

I haven’t found the perfect answer for this but i think i write because i have to create story or feeling that hide deep inside my brain/heart.
