but
it’s felt

i’ve been searching
i’ve been learning
i’ve been leaning
i’ve been reaching
and
it has
exhausted me
but with you
i know
it was
all
so worth
it
because
although
i feel defeated
frustrated
confused
alone
lost
i look up
because
i know
that
you’ve waited
so long
for me
to come
to you
for me
to learn
to lean
on you
so
now
i come
with no expectations
into your home
i accept
your invitation
to perfect
love
to
break these
cycles
your invitation
and never-failing
love
steadies my feet
and
overwhelms my heart
