Back to school?…

Update time / a lot of interesting links below!!!

Wow! It’s literally been almost 3 years since I’ve been in school, & I vowed I’d never go back. But, here I am, 3 years later, excited to go back!
And, all I can say is that a lot can change in 3 years, because this Saturday (Feb. 8) I will be on a plane to go to school somewhere very exciting!
I’ve already made two post about exactly where & why I’m going that you can read by clicking these links:

The Start of Something New…

Here I am!
Ready for this new experience!
Open to new challenges!
I have made room for new lessons!
I am here!
And, I am ready (bring on 2020)!

I am currently in the process of going to study abroad in Australia.
By “in the process” I mean; I’ve already spoken to the school, and sent my tuition deposit. And, I have been approved for a 10 months student visa (2020 in Australia, here I come). So, the only paperwork I have left is to purchase my flight ticket!!!

And, although I’ve already travelled to many foreign countries on my own, something about this process feels different somehow…
…I feel like this experience is gonna change a lot more than just my perspective on a new culture.
I feel like this experience is gonna change me, and my whole perspective on LIFE!
And, for some reason, that makes me kinda nervous. Traveling abroad for leisure on my own to see a new country, and culture has a different feeling than going to study and live in another country.
But, I am still very grateful that I’ve already solo traveled abroad because it lowers some of the nerves.

And, although, I’m going to be leaving in about 6 weeks from now, I’m not fully ready to share exactly what I’ll be doing yet.

All I can say is that, it’s gonna be an amazing, life changing experience, and I can’t wait to share all about it!!!

Thanks for reading!
I hope you’ll follow along with me on this new, life-changing journey!

Hi! I guess if you read this far; I can give you a hint as to what I’ll be doing: Promo Video

Fitting In!

You try & try, over & over again, to fit in with the world.
You think you’ll be happy when everyone likes you.
You just want to feel part of something!
All you want is to feel wanted.
You want to feel happy & loved.

So, you try & try, over & over again to fit in.
You try everything they like.
You do what they do.
You fall into sin & you act like them.
But what happens is not what you hoped for!
All your trying to fit in has actually made you feel unworthy of His love.
You’ve sinned so much that now you feel too disconnected from Him.
And, all of it wasn’t even worth it because you still don’t fit in.

You tried & tried, over & over again, & nothing changed.
Things actually got worse.
You still don’t fit in, & you slid further away from your goal.
All you want now is to erase the past & start fresh.
You realize as long as you fear Him, you’ll never fit in.
You will always feel guilty, & people will feel awkward around you.
You’ll never truly be one of them because you have Him on your side.
And, He is always looking after you.

Stop trying & trying, over & over again to fit in.
Trust Him, & experience His love & forgiveness.
That’s when you will feel true joy.
A joy that the world could never offer.
He chose you, & He will never give up on you.
You are, & you will forever be, His child.

If the world is not where you fit in, just remember that you are part of a greater & better family. So, stop trying to fit in with the world, they have literally nothing to offer. He can offer you so much more than the world ever could!

No one will ever care about you more than Him!

The Confusion Filled Search

Life
A daily search
Filled with confusion
for the days ahead

All the questions
Flying around your head
Just confusing your mind
With no answers

One day
Everything’s great
You have the answers
The confusion is gone

The next day
The search continues
Back to square one
When will the cycle end?

. . .

How I wish I knew
What to do?

I just keep failing
Can someone help me?

I can’t decide
Where to go?

I need a map
Is it left or right?

I’m overwhelmed
Can I do this alone?

. . .

The more I learn
The more confused I become

I want to stop searching
But I can’t

Curiosity gets the best of me
And takes the best of me

I’m searching for something
I’m searching for nothing

What am I even searching for?

Thanks for reading!
I hope this post sparks your mind to think about the important things in life!

These scars…

These scars won’t last
They might hurt now
The pain just feels too real
Will they ever go away?

These scars cut deep
They are changing you
You can barely think anymore
Will it ever become normal again?

These scars are opening a new chapter
They could become positive
But, right now, they feel deadly
Will it ever feel good?

These scars have taken something from you
Maybe it’s happiness, or sadness
Or, innocence, or willingness
Or, maybe even your life?

But, even with these scars
You are still here
There’s still time
So, what will you do now?

These scars is a metaphorical poem I wrote during a confusing time in my life.
The scars mentioned (while they could be real scars) represent past mistakes/memories that will never be forgotten, and that are constantly haunting and hurting.”

Thank you for reading to the end!
I hope this poem encourages you to turn your scars into amazing things for your future self
because it’s never too late!

P.S. This poem was also inspired by this song!

The impossible maze

Looking for a way
A way in or a way out
Searching for something

A way – which way?

Where to go or turn
Lost in this confusing maze
No way out – or in

That’s the maze of life
Entering unknowingly

And no exiting

Until – The End.

A maze with no map
Nothing to help you get out
No way to be free

Gotta make the best
Of this long time in the maze
The maze called life

So just stop looking
For a way out – i
t’s useless
And not findable

Thanks for reading!

Stop looking for a way out &
Just start enjoying life in the impossible maze – it can be really fun!

MAKE A DIFFERENCE TODAY! 😊

Let’s show people that they CAN make a difference!
No matter their situation.
They have the ability to do something to change their life!

YOU have the ability to change your life,
while also helping something realize their full potential.

That’s what we should strive for in life!
To help people realize their full potential!
Don’t just focus on your success;
That’s just stupid and selfish!
There’s WAY more than enough of it to go around!

True success is not measured by how much you achieve,
but by how many people you help along the way!

. . .

If you read that “poem”, and you also believe that helping people realize their greatness is true success, than you should check out www.beyondbeanie.com

It’s an amazing website with a great cause where your purchase will help children realize their full potential!

  • 1 beanie = 5 meals

Something new…

So…
You crave something different,
Something interesting,
Something exciting,
Something new!

You just need some change,
Something to shift!
You’re tired of this monotony!
You want to see the world!

How long will you hustle?
How long will you be patient?
“Something better is coming”.
-They say…

But, you’re starting to not believe it!
How much longer do you keep hustling for?
How many more days of being patient?
Nothing seems to be happening!

What are you doing wrong?

. . .

That’s what you’re doing wrong,
Looking at all those things;
The things that aren’t happening,
Making yourself feel worthless!

Instead you need to look at –
The things that ARE happening –
That are giving you reasons to keep hustling,
And, making you feel accomplished!

So, be an optimist!
Look at all the reasons why you’re hustling!
What is all this hustling teaching you?
What is all this patience teaching you?

Once you learn that,
You WILL Make It!

Glow-up…

What happened to you?
Something seems so different…
Explain it to me?

Something has changed…
Can’t put my finger on it…
What could it be?

I like the old you.
Is this some sort of phase?
When will you be done?

. . .

I’ve simply changed…
I learned some life lessons,
I’ve gone through a lot.

Life isn’t the same.
I see things differently.
Times change people.

I like this new me.
It’s a great version of me.
From learning and growth.

This is my glow-up.
I do not care what you think.
I like this new me!

Maybe it’s your turn –
You should try this great “new thing”.
It’s called “growing-up”.

Thanks for reading!
Keep learning, growing and changing, it’s the best part of life! And, don’t worry about what other people think. Just focus on you, and your growth, & surprise people along the way!

It’s a big world out there!

“Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.”
— Astronomer Carl Sagan

. . .

So, I found this quote and wanted to share it because it makes me want to get up and travel somewhere, exploring the unknown parts of the world.
There’s a place out there in the world that has something incredible that is just waiting for you to discover it. Get out of your safe little bubble of the world you know and discover something new and unknown.
There’s something out there in the world that no one has discovered yet; maybe you could be the first (and possibly only).

  • I say, first, because more than half of the world hasn’t even been discovered yet, so you might be the one curious person near that place to discover a new hidden location.
The world is big enough for you to find that one place you love that no one has seen before you.
  • And, I say, only, because since you discovered this new place, you can keep the hidden location a secret to yourself, or you can share it with the world; it’s your choice (I recommend sharing it because if it’s just sitting there waiting to be known, why not make it become known by many explorers).

The world is full of new things to explore!
It just takes one adventure for you to find them!
So, put that fear behind you and go explore the amazing unknown things this world has to offer!

Thanks for reading!
I hope this post inspired you to travel and to let go of any fear or doubts you have about exploring unknown places.

Learning…

day7-tweet5

For the record: I don’t know the person that posted the previous tweet, but I very much agree with it.
Here’s why:

. . .

As a high school and college graduate, I do think education is important to start your life by learning the basics.
But, as a traveler, I know that I still have a lot to learn. And, the more I travel, the more this reveals itself to me more and more every day.

You see, I’ve realized that once you start to travel to different countries in the world, you will truly realize that all those things you learned in school were average knowledge to get you started with your life.

. . .

This is why I started to travel and write in this blog; because I wanted to encourage people to travel and always keep exploring and learning, no matter how smart they think they are. There’s always something out there in the world that you can learn (it’s big enough, you’ll find something).

. . .

Now, I’m not saying that you should quit school and just travel (don’t do that).
What I’m saying is: Don’t think that just because you have the best diploma out there means you know everything.
Think about it this way: “If you can’t speak every language in the world, you still have a lot to learn.” (that’s a little exaggerated, but you get the point).

Wander Always…

I have major wanderlust! I am always homesick for places I’ve never been! I always want to be elsewhere and my wanderlust grows stronger the more I Travel!
Every time I travel, I’ve found that the best way to truly wander is to just get lost and immerse yourself completely in the moment and the culture!
You must get out of your comfort zone and go somewhere completely new & different where no one knows your name->That’s what true traveling and wandering is!

. . .

If you related to any of those statements above, then you will definitely relate to the following post.

Traveling is a way of life! It’s a life long adventure that never ends! And, the only way to make it even better is to explore the world!

There’s so much to see out there that I can hardly sit still (just thinking about it and writing this post; I need to see it all, it’s all so fascinating & exciting)!

I want traveling to become my life because it’s so exciting to me to just explore new and different countries and their cultures.

Every time I go on an adventure, it becomes more than a simple trip because I live for new adventures & new experiences!

. . .

Some people say that they dislike traveling and everything that goes with it. I don’t and will never understand this because for me it’s what I live for; Traveling is what keeps me waking up every morning.

Everyone has that one (small or big) thing that gets them out of bed in the morning; whether it’s: family, school, work, the sun, the rain, going for a run, etc. Something that gets you excited for the day ahead.

Well, for me, that reason is: Traveling!

. . .

Here are five reasons why (I think) you should travel to a new country (at least once):

1- Get out of your comfort zone!
Get away from what you know and what you are accustomed to; Life’s not meant to be lived in one place.

2- Learn something new!
True learning can only happen when you leave your comfort zone because there’s so much you don’t know until you travel and explore a different country & culture.

3- See the world and the people in it!
We are all different, but we’re also so similar. The only way to truly understand what that means is to travel because the world seems big now, but once you travel you will realize that it’s even bigger than you thought.  You need to see and experience more than just your little bubble (comfort zone).

4- Become humbled by your experience abroad!
Traveling really does humble you because you realize how little you actually know about anything. And, sometimes, when you can’t speak a language, you get frustrated because you feel dumb, but that’s why we travel: to learn, be humbled and open our eyes to more.

5- Stop surviving and start living!
Life’s not meant for you to just work and pay bills; start Living your life to the fullest. Stop being stressed, scared or anxious, let go of every worry and doubt & take a trip.

Two extra reasons (that I just thought of while writing this post):

1- No one I’ve ever met has said that they regret traveling; so what do you really have to loose (I promise you have more to gain than you will ever loose by traveling)!

2- Traveling makes your life exciting because it gives you more real and interesting stories to tell (you can teach people what you learned while traveling, and encourage them)!
