The Real Neat Blog Award!

I love the wordpress blogging community!

When I started this blog, I wasn’t sure what I was getting into.
But now, I love writing, and I love the community that comes with it.
I also didn’t realize people would actually read my blog, let alone like it enough to nominate me for awards (I know these awards are not mandatory, so when I get nominated I always take the time to do it because I feel so grateful, and I want to keep the award train moving forward).
So, thank you Emma & Nathan’s Travels. I really appreciate the nomination!

The rules:

Although a blogger doesn’t really need to participate in any award nominations, I don’t mind as it gives me a chance to show my appreciation to other bloggers. Plus, it’s free exposure should you wish to participate. Now, for the rules:

  • Put the award logo on your blog.
  • Answer 7 questions asked by the person who nominated you.
  • Thank the people who nominated you, linking to their blogs.
  • Nominate any number of bloggers you like, linking to their blogs.
  • Let them know you nominated them (by commenting on their blog, etc.)

My answers to Emma & Nathan’s Travels Questions:

1- What is your favourite destination so far and why?

That’s a difficult question; there’s always one thing I love from every destination. But, if I had to choose, I would say: Belize (mostly because I went off the grid, with no connection for a week, and it felt great, and was very refreshing and relaxing).
And, also because it’s a beautiful country that not enough people know about!

How I spent most of my days during that trip!
(in a hammock under the sun and palm trees)

2- Why did you start, and why do you continue blogging?

I started blogging while I was living in the small town of Jasper, Alberta, Canada (for 6 months).
I was working and living on site at a lodge in the middle of the highway/woods, with not much to do around (except for hiking, and thinking). And, I started thinking a lot about my purpose, which made me feel very insignificant.
So, one day I decided it would be a good idea to start a blog (it always seemed interesting to me, and now I had time).
At the time, the blog was a way to just write and share my thoughts to see if anyone else could relate.
My first posts were not at all about traveling or inspirational, but I continued blogging because I started enjoying it (I never realized how much I actually liked writing, it seemed so boring in school). Now, it was actually fun!
I continue blogging today because I love writing about my adventures, and sharing them with others. I love traveling and I want to inspire others to step out of their comfort zone and travel as well.
I also love reading and following other blogs.
And, I love the small community I’ve formed, that follows my blog and adventures.

3- Is your blog as successful as it you’d hoped, or is it still a working progress?

Definitely still a work in progress.
But, then again, I don’t really know how successful I planned for it to be.
I started it on a whim, so I didn’t really think about the “success”. I just kinda liked having a place to write, where other people could read it, and hopefully get inspired.
So, in that way, I guess you could say that it’s more successful now, than I originally thought because more people are reading my blog.

4- Upload your favourite photo from your blog and describe why.

I like this photo because it was one of my first pictures I posted on this blog. And, it was taken at the same time than when I started this blog.
And, it depicts what I was feeling when I started this blog (small and insignificant). In a way, it’s my reminder of how far I’ve come (which I think is what the post with this pictures was about…).

5- Describe something about yourself that isn’t mentioned in your blogs.

My dream job is to become a flight attendant. It’s been my dream ever since I can remember (since I was 4 or 5 years old). I’ve always found it interesting and exciting. And, now I that I’ve traveled abroad more and learned more languages, I realize that it still really is my ultimate dream job.

I just really love flying!

6/7- How do you manage your time when it comes to blogging? Do you write posts and schedule them for publication or do you write as you go?

It depends. I don’t have a blogging schedule (I can post up to 10 times in a month, and then go a whole month without posting).
If I have a lot of inspiration (and time), I will write a bunch of posts, and schedule them.
But, if I’m busy, and only get inspired on the spot (like with this post), I will write and post it on the spot because I don’t want to forget (and it doesn’t deserve to be scheduled), so I write and post it as soon as possible.

My nominations:

    1. A great blog full of inspirational short stories, and great photography!
    1. An adventurous blog full of travel tips and interesting experiences!
    1. A random blog full of inspirational and thought-provoking topics!

Your Questions:

  1. What inspires you to write?
  2. What’s one thing you hope that people take away after reading your blog?
  3. Where in the world do you wish you were, right now?
  4. What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
  5. What’s your biggest fear?
  6. What’s one life lesson you will never forget?
  7. What country do you need to visit one day?

I hope you find time to participate!
I look forward to reading your answers!

Thanks for reading!

Every Mile Matters…

It’s history
You can’t rewrite it
You’re not meant to be trapped inside it
Every tear brought you here
Every sorrow gathered
Yeah, it’s history
And every mile mattered

. . .

Life is full of ups and downs…

it’s full of good decisions and bad decisions…

. . .

Right now you’re either at a point in your life that you’re super proud of, or you’re telling yourself everyday that you’re a disappointment.

Things are either going your way or not quite what you want, but, either way you are always making decisions that will impact your tomorrow self. Those decisions could change your life in an instant (good or bad).

So, just remember that, next time you are faced with an important decision, just know that whatever you decide you will inevitably learn something from it.

. . .

“Every Mile Matters!”

You see, travelers don’t get disappointed when they don’t see/do exaxtly what they wanted in a new country because they know that what they did see mattered and will probably lead to something else that will be unexpectedly amazing.

“Every decisions has an impact!”

Just like in life, you can’t get disappointed when you think you made a terrible mistake. You can’t wish you chose the other option; all you can do is live in the moment and learn from every decision you make each day.

Thanks for reading! I hope this post inspired you in some way! 🙂

P.S. This post was inspired by the song: Every Mile Mattered (click the link to check it out!)

Put in the work!

You can’t just put in work when you feel like it.
Success won’t come overnight.
Your dreams won’t accomplish themselves.

Whatever it is that you want to accomplish; YOU have to put in the work EVERYDAY!
Results come with consistency and patience!

. . .

I’ve been living in Chile for 2 months and I can truly say that putting in the work is 100% worth it.
There are days (especially during my first month of living here) when I don’t feel like trying to speak Spanish, and as a result, during the day I feel lost and alone. I’m not trying to understand what people are saying and I don’t feel like trying to speak (my broken) Spanish, and as a result, I isolate myself.
But, during the days when I put in the work to listen and speak Spanish, I start to feel like I actually kind of fit in because I’m consciously listening and understanding to what people are saying and I actively try to speak Spanish the best I can and I start to feel understood and less alone.

. . .

Anyways, this post is just your Sunday reminder that whatever you want to accomplish this week, you can’t just sit there and say: “I’ll get there 1 day, I have all week anyways.”.
You have to get up now and actively work for what you want!

Putting in the work will always lead to great things!

A rollercoaster year!

Hold up!
Before I even start to talk about this past year, I just have to say that in the beginning of this year I would have never imagined being here in Chile for New Year’s.
That’s just crazy!

. . .

I’ll admit, this year has had it’s down/low moments, but in general, 2017 has been an amazing year.
I’ve accomplished so many things that I am proud to say that I’ve accomplished.

  • Going to Belize!
  • Graduating college!
  • Growing this blog! (Thank You)
  • Working at a great hotel!
  • Just living life!
  • And, now, living in Chile!

Honestly, this year has been so crazy that I don’t even want to make any resolutions or a bucket list for next year because I didn’t make one this year, yet I’ve accomplished so much.

. . .

I still can’t believe today is the last day of 2017.
So much can happen in 365, and you don’t even realize it until it’s all done.
And, if 2017 wasn’t your year, you have another 365 days to change that, with another great year ahead!

. . .

Here’s to 2018!

Quillota, Chile

Thank you so much for reading my blog this past year, and, remember to always continue to:

The Mirror / A Message to All Humans

-“Heyo! How are you today?”
-“Good… what do you want today?”
-“Nothing. This is just your daily reminder to think about your future – Are you happy with your life?”
-“Yes! …I mean, I was enjoying my day, until now.”
-“Good, I’m glad I got your attention. I need you to go look in the mirror right now!”
-“Just do it!”
-“…ok, ok, I’m looking at myself, now what?”
-“What do you see?”
-“Are you sure that the person you see, is YOU? Is that person someone you’re proud to be?”
-“…ya… I guess?”
-“What do you mean ‘I guess’?”
-“I never really thought about it before…”
-“Good! So, what do you see now?”

-A conversation between us and our thoughts.-

. . .

What do YOU see every time you look in the mirror?
Do you see someone with big hopes and dreams?
Do you see someone with drive and purpose?
Do you see someone with nothing left?
Do you see a successful person?
Do you judge and make fun of yourself every time you look in the mirror?

Well, whatever it is you see in the mirror, that is what you reflect, back into this world, so make sure that when you look in the mirror, you see someone wonderfully created for a greater purpose than you could ever dream of and understand.

. . .

In society today, we always focus on the little details and “imperfections” of ourselves, but those “imperfections” are what make us unique and perfect. However, instead of thinking this way, whenever we look in the mirror, we usually focus on the following things:
“my face is fat, I have so much acne, my nose/stomach is too small/big, my eyebrows are never ‘on fleek’, I wish my eyes were a different colour, my shoulders look weird, my neck is too skinny/fat, my chin is weird, my teeth are too crooked/yellow, my hair has a mind of its’ own, my feet/hands are too big/small, my chest is too big/small, my thighs are too big/small, etc.”

Those sentences are all things humans tell themselves everyday. But, why? Why do we continuously torture ourselves? Who created this ideal of what humans must look, act and dress like?

. . .

We need to stop torturing ourselves with the idea that “the ideal  human” exists’ because she/he doesn’t (straight-up, does not exist, sorry to burst your bubble but you will never be her/him). You will always be your perfect and unique self (that’s really what the ideal human is anyways, Being Yourself).

This phenomenon of “the ideal human” happens all over the world because every culture has a different way of seeing men and women, but, no matter what perspective you choose to find “the ideal human”, you will never find her/him. We are all different and we will never be the same.

~Let’s stop torturing ourselves with the idea of “the ideal human”, and start loving our differences/uniqueness!~

If you’re dedicated to finishing this post and you’re still reading, I thought since you’re still here, I should tell you about what inspired this post (maybe the backstory will also inspire you even more).

So, this morning, I looked in the mirror and for some strange reason, I didn’t see myself.
I mean, I didn’t see that same person that’s been looking back at me all these years.
For some reason, the person looking back at me seemed different. And, at first it kinda felt weird. And, I’m still not even sure why I saw another person, but it made me realize something.
Every time I look in a mirror, I don’t look at myself. Instead, I look at all my “imperfections” because I’m curious and worried that they’re all other people see.
Instead of looking at the happy, positive person looking back at me, I look past those bright hopeful eyes and direct my attention to all my “imperfections”. I look at all the reasons I failed and all the reasons I’m not happy.

But, today, I looked in the mirror and ignored all those negative voices and looked directly into my eyes and for a split second, I saw a glimpse of hope and happiness in my life. I saw a completely different version of myself; one that I always want to see and be (those eyes seemed so hopeful and excited about the future. For once, I didn’t get curious about how I look, instead I got excited about my bright, successful future.)

And, it was in that moment that I realized that, that’s how I want to see myself from now on. I want to see a happy person that knows that her hopes and dreams aren’t stupid, and they will come true. I want the person starring back at me in that mirror to smile and be proud of what I’ve accomplished because I am doing the best I can and that’s all I’ll ever ask of myself. I want that person in the mirror to become my best friend and never my enemy.

So, the reason I’m sharing this story with you is because I want you to know that if you’re doing your best, then you’re succeeding at life.

“Your best should make YOU happy and that’s all that should ever matter!”

So, after reading this long post:
1- I really appreciate it – THANK YOU!
I want you to realize that you need to stop looking at your “imperfections”. Instead, when you look in the mirror, look into your eyes and imagine all your possible hopes and dreams coming true. The sooner you realize that your hopes and dreams will come true, the sooner you will find true happiness and start making those hopes and dreams come true.

~You are worth more than any of your imperfections, faults, and failures – YOU ARE TRULY AMAZING!~

Always believe and remember that truth, and your dreams will become reality. Just focus on them and never loose hope in your bright future.
And, if you can’t stand to look in the mirror, or you feel like your life is falling apart, or you feel like the worlds’ biggest failure; Remember that you deserve SO much because YOU ARE POWERFUL, STRONG, AND CAPABLE enough to get through anything and make your amazing dreams come true (you’ve made it this far😉).
All you need to do is dig deep inside yourself and find that amazing version of yourself and set if free. And, don’t let anyone tell you differently because if they hate on you, it just means they’re jealous and scared of your confidence.

~Make sure your living your life and no one else’s! ~
~I know it’s a cliché, but if you aim for the stars and love yourself – You will make all your dreams come true! ~

Thank you for reading this long post, I hope it inspires and encourages you!

I hate adulting! Growing-up Sucks!
Yes, sure, sometimes it’s cool, but sometimes it just sucks!

. . .

Yes, it’s not the funnest thing ever, but you must learn to embrace it because saying ‘it sucks’ isn’t going to make you younger; you’re always going to be growing-up.
So, you might as well accept it and move on, and start to create a great life for yourself.

. . .

In high school, we think we know exactly what we want to do when we graduate, but once we graduate college, we realize we still really have no idea what we’re doing with our life. We just start winging it and waiting for something big to happen that will distract us from the fact that we’re growing up and everything is changing.

~No one teaches you what’s waiting for you in the real world!~

We aren’t innocent little children anymore, with our whole life ahead of us.
We are responsible for every decision we make for our future self. We have to seriously think about our future before making any decision.
Our relationship with our parents is changing. We don’t think we need them, but, deep down, we know we will always need them. But, we have to grow up because being an adult, society wants us to think about so many things without anyone to influence our decisions.

When we’re young, all we want to do is be older so we can be free to make our own decisions, but once we are adults, we understand what it really means; we don’t want to make any big decisions because it’s scary to have our whole future in our own hands; if we make just ONE mistake, it’s literally ALL our own fault (there’s no one to blame).

. . .

Anyways, I’m not here to make you afraid of growing up and adulting (I know it’s scary enough); I’m here to tell you that:
Instead, of being scared and saying that growing-up sucks, you should learn to accept it, and learn who you are and what you really want. So, when you do make big life decisions, you are sure about them because you know it’s what you really want.\
I know it can be a very difficult task to figure out what you really want, but once you start winging it and trying new, different and scary things, you will find yourself very quickly and your life will become what you imagined as a child.

So, next time you find yourself saying: “growing-up sucks” or “I hate adulting” or “I wish I could be a kid again” or “this is a lot of work” (all those sentences are valid feelings); remember that saying those things is only making it worse for yourself.
Instead, you should work on discovering who you are and what you really want in life! Start learning how to make your kid dreams come true as an adult, because…

…Once the adult you makes one of your childish dreams come true, you will start loving yourself and your life as an adult!

One suggestion that I have for discovering yourself & what you want, is; to take a trip abroad because I’ve found that it’s the only sure way to find yourself.
Finding yourself in another country & culture will really show you what you really want for the rest of your life.
It will open your eyes to so much you didn’t know about yourself (& the world around you, which is a bonus).

Thanks for reading!
I hope this post inspired you to find yourself and your true happiness in adult life! Remember:

~Do what makes YOU happy!~
~Make sure that you’re living YOUR life, and not someone else’s!~

Inner child…

~Sometimes it’s where your best ideas come from.~

. . .

Always keep your childlike innocence and curiosity about the world. It just might save your life.

Sometimes, we all take life too seriously. We need to remember that we don’t always need to know everything. We don’t always need to be the best in the room; we just need to be the best version of ourselves. We don’t need to stop having fun once we reach a certain age; there will always be an inner child living inside of us.

I think too often we forget that we are all just trying to figure out this thing called life. We should stop being so hard on ourselves and others.

~Never loose your inner child because without it you wouldn’t enjoy life anymore!~
~Your inner child is what keeps you curious and laughing about life!~

. . .

Sometimes (on my commutes to work), I look around and notice everyone in the bus is either on their phones or laptops, and I think to myself: “People need to take a break from work because it will eventually make them completely loose their inner child.”.

I mean, don’t get me wrong, working hard is good, having a good work ethic, and making a successful life for yourself are all very good things to strive for in life. And, they all help you grow in life; and growth is important to feel accomplished and be happy.
But, if work starts taking over your life and starts taking away your happiness and you don’t know how to let your inner child-like spirit out anymore, maybe you should consider taking a break from work to let your inner child free.
Find something that you love to do, that will make you happy and excited; that will let your inner child strive for that moment. So, when you get back to work, you feel rejuvenated and ready to conquer life again.

You can’t keep it locked up forever or else it will eventually start to fade away!
Your inner child is where your true happiness comes from!
Let it out once in a while, and find the balance between work and ‘real’ play!

And, who knows maybe that one time that you let your inner child out, you might think of an amazing idea for that business meeting you’ve been dreading for a while.

~Your inner child could save your life, your happiness and your success!~

Thanks for reading!
If you don’t know how to let your inner child free; I recommend traveling to someplace you know nothing about, so you can get lost like a child and be curious about the things around you!

Dear millennials,

Do you remember this computer? If yes, then the following letter is for you!

. . .

Disclaimer: For you non-millennials out there, a millennial is defined as:
someone born between 1980-1990, and reaching adulthood in the early 21st century.
Let me reassure you that even if you are not a millennial, you will want to read the following letter.

. . .

Dear millennials,

WAKE UP!!! THIS IS, YOUR WAKE UP CALL! Calling you back to reality!

The internet is costing you, your life!

Yes! We know, you grew up with internet access at all hours of the day, but that doesn’t mean your life needs to depend on it. Trust me, You can turn it off for a few hours; and you won’t die.

You can turn off the Wi-Fi and read a book, or write a letter to a friend (yes, those are still a thing that people do), especially if your friend lives far away or you haven’t seen or talked to them in a while (letters are better than just texting: “hey, sup?”. It means much more). I hope you agree.

And, if it’s too difficult for you to turn off your internet at home, go somewhere far away where you won’t have internet access at all, for at least a few hours.

I recommend, going to another country, so you aren’t tempted to turn it back on, and where you can get outside and explore a new culture and have an amazing adventure, off the internet.

The reason I’m writing this letter and trying to wake you up is because, while researching what the media says about millennials for this post; I realized that most of the things they say are not very positive. The media thinks you rely on the internet for everything and that, if the internet disappeared, you would be completely lost (for some people that’s definitely true); Some of you millennials are taking this thing too far, you are using the media as an excuse to be on the internet all the time.

But, What if, the internet really did disappear for a day (or longer)? What would you do then?

I know what the media would do. They would rub it in your face and tell you “I told you so!”.
And, when that day comes you won’t be able to use it as an excuse anymore because they will be right and your life will actually become exactly what the media predicted.

Do you really want that to happen? Do you really want the media to control your life? Do you want the media to be right?

I hope you answered “no!” to those questions because you need to start taking charge of your life and ignoring the labels the media places on you. The media only places labels on you because they know you will agree and go along with everything they say.

~So, I say: “Let’s start ignoring the media and take charge of our own lives.
Let’s set ourselves and our futures up for success!”~

Whether you’re a millennial or not; If you’re with me on this, get off the internet for a few hours a day and go enjoy the world around you. It’s truly a beautiful world & you can learn a lot more than you can on the internet!

Let’s prove to them that we don’t need the internet for everything!
(because deep down we know they are actually wrong and we know that we actually can survive without internet for at least a few hours a day)

A Fellow Millennial that doesn’t agree with the labels society has placed on us (they’re not all 100% accurate, but some definitely are) & I think we need to change that.

. . .

Thanks for reading!
If you agree with anything stated above, share this post (if you want)!

-LiveForAdventure! 🙂

What now?

. . .

Can my dream change?

. . .

Here I am; graduated from high school and college; with a diploma, a degree and a good paying job, but I still feel like something’s missing.
Actually, I know exactly what’s missing, but shouldn’t I still feel a sense of accomplishment?
Is this really what I’m supposed to do the rest of my life?
Of course, I know, the answer to those questions is: NO; but, how do I change it?

. . .

The answer is easy to say, but not as easy to actually accomplish;
Just Change Your Dream! (is this really possible or even acceptable?)

. . .

People say that in order to feel a true sense of accomplishment, you must follow your dreams because achieving your dreams is the only things that will make you feel accomplished!

But, what is my dream? Shouldn’t my dream be in line with my college degree? Can my dream change? Why did I go to college if it’s just to change dreams? Was college a waste of time? Is it possible or even acceptable to change my dream?

. . .

Well, if you came here for answers, I can’t answer any of those questions because I’m still figuring it out myself.
But, I can tell you that whatever you have already completed to chase your dream will help you in some way in the future.
Even if you have 0, 1 or even 3 degrees, you will achieve your “real” goal and dream one-day; just have patience & keep working hard. (also, if you have 3 degrees you are definitively on the right track to find a great dream.)
I can also tell you that; Yes, dreams CAN and WILL change because the more you know and learn, the more things you will want to learn about and the more you will change your dream to try new and different things.
Learning will help you find that Ultimate dream that will give you pure happiness!

. . .

Anyways, I hope this wasn’t too confusing & that it helped you in some way!
I’m off to go find my dream(s)!

Remember to always; Keep learning, dreaming & living life to the fullest each and every day!

-Live for Adventure! 🙂

. . .

Some people say: “Being curious is what kills you”.
Well, to those people, I answer back saying: “Those who are not curious have not lived”.

. . .

I mean, just think about it for a minute!

-Curiosity is probably the reason you tried all those new & scary things;
It’s probably even the reason why you are, where you are today.

-If you were never curious, you would never have:

  • moved out of home?
  • skydived?
  • got the job you work today?
  • tried new food?
  • traveled somewhere new?
  • & so much more…

I think that those who are not curious don’t enjoy life as much because let’s be honest curiosity is the only reason you stepped out of the box to do all those new, scary & exciting things.
Curiosity has gotten you to where you are today! So, don’t be afraid of the unknown, instead be curious!

Thanks for reading & Remember:

When life becomes too monotonous, let your curiosity guide you!

Curiosity makes you smarter! 😉

*Embrace your curiosity!*

-LiveForAdventure! 🙂

You are…

Who do YOU think you are? Are you happy with yourself? Do you wish you could be a different person? Do you love yourself enough? Are you actively trying to change?

. . .

Well.. Good news, this post is written to motivate you & give you tips on how to love yourself more each and every day!

. . .

In only two simple steps you will feel more Motivated & you will go out and Conquer the world!

Step 1: Realize that:
You are NOT alone
You are NOT insignificant
You are NOT weak
You are NOT a loser
You are NOT ugly
You are NOT the words of those bullies
You are NOT the looks of your enemies
You are NOT defined by a number (followers or scale; it doesn’t define who YOU are)
You are NOT your mental illness
You are NOT/NEVER too much

Step 2: Realize that:
You ARE part of a Great community (just look around next time you’re out in public)
You ARE significant (you mean sooo much, to sooo many people; some of which you haven’t even met yet)
You ARE strong  (so strong that you can totally fight this battle, because You ARE Amazing!)
You ARE a winner (you’ve won all your battles, even some that you don’t even know about)
You ARE beautiful
You ARE smart
You ARE funny
You ARE kind
You ARE unique
You ARE worthy (worth more than you could ever imagine)
You ARE always enough
You ARE a precious diamond
You ARE capable of anything (just put your mind to it and focus on yourself)

Never forget these steps & Always remember: YOU DEFINE WHO YOU ARE! 🙂

*The  world needs More YOU!*

-LiveForAdventure! 🙂

Give up!

Yes, I said it, just give up already! I mean; what are you really trying to accomplish? Is anything you do going to be worth anything in the end? Do you actually matter? Why should you keep trying, you’re just going to fail anyways? You always fail, why will this time be any different?

. . .

Those questions go through my brain almost Every Single Day.

I was going to write a post on: How to deal with these questions; but to be honest, I don’t know how to deal with these thought. Some days, they just consume me, but other days, I feel like I have control over them.

So, I guess, what I’m saying is that I’m going to try my best to give you some of my tips to dealing with self-worth.

-Here we go:

  1. The first thing you should do is decide if you want these thoughts to consume you or do you want to control them.
  2. Structure your life in a way where you feel like you have meaning and value.
    See post: Belongingness…
  3. Make each day different. Don’t just go through the motion of life, LIVE your life!
See post: Live Your Own Life..
  4. Remember that when these thoughts consume you, it usually means that tomorrow will be a better day.
    See post: It Gets Better!
  5. Make sure you are doing what makes YOU happy!
  6. Stop worrying about what other people think, BE YOU!
  7. Stop overthinking!!
    See post: Overthinking…
  8. Above everything: Remember that YOU are AMAZING!

Oh.. And One Last thing…

“You are beautiful.
You are smart.
You are funny.
You are kind.
You are unique.
You are powerful.
You are strong.
You are loved.
You are awesome.”

Why is it that when we have so much, we always want more? Why is it that when we are at our lowest, we are more thankful for what we have? Why do we only give thanks once a year; shouldn’t we be thankful every time something good happens or we get something expensive?

The only answer that I think of, for all those questions is: We take too much for GRANTED! And, we only do this because we don’t know what it’s like to have nothing and we don’t want to know because we’re SCARED.

Well, let me just say that if you don’t know what it’s like to NOT have clean clothes or your own bed to sleep in; you should not want more than what you currently have because you have everything you need to live a HAPPY & COMFORTABLE life.

AND, if you’re still not happy with all that you have, then I suggest searching for answers elsewhere, rather than buying more expensive things (look at what you have, not want you want).
I mean, (ya, sure) sometimes it can feel good to purchase an expensive item that you’ve wanted for a while; it gives you a sense of purpose and makes you feel like you accomplished something.
However, if every time you’re feeling low, you go out and buy something, that ritual will loose value and you will become stuck in the everyday motions of life & that’s no fun (that’s when life starts to feel repetitive and lifeless).

That’s why, you have to continue to be thankful for what you HAVE because one day all the things that surround you, will become meaningless and you will have nothing else to look forward to in life.

Make life count; Live a meaningful life through gratefulness!

“warmly or deeply appreciative of kindness or benefits received; thankful, gratitude: I am grateful to you for your help.”

Gratitude means thankfulness, counting your blessings, noticing simple pleasures, and acknowledging everything that you receive. It means learning to live your life as if everything were a miracle, and being aware on a continuous basis of how much you’ve been given.

Does the future give you anxiety? Do you feel stressed about little things? Do you feel like you’re not really living? Everything around you just happens, and you feel like you have no control over any of it?

These questions usually come up when you are overthinking something for too long. This gives you a feeling of not knowing what to do anymore because OVERTHINKING causes DOUBT!

Let me get things straight:

  1. You know that failing is part of life.
  2. Everyone fails.
  3. It helps you improve.

So, knowing all these things are true: Why is it that, when you doubt yourself, you get scared of failure?

Well, I don’t exactly know the right answer to that question, but I can tell you that YOU SHOULD NEVER DOUBT YOURSELF WHEN YOU KNOW SOMETHING IS IMPORTANT TO YOU!

While you follow your dreams, you will fail (multiple times), but if you never doubt yourself, you will get there one day. And, that day will be the happiest day of your life!

Do you ever feel like you don’t belong? Do you ever ask yourself the question: Where do I belong?
Well, my friend, let me just say that if you have ever asked these questions; You are NOT alone!!

Everyone wants to belong and be part of something. It’s human nature!

“Belonging means acceptance as a member or part. Such a simple word for a huge concept. A sense of belonging is a human need, just like the need for food and shelter. Feeling that you belong is most important in seeing value in life and in coping with intensely painful emotions.”

If you ever feel like you don’t have a place in this world, just remember that everyone feels that way sometimes, You are NOT alone. Find someone else who is alone because chances are they want to be accepted as well.

Some people find their belonging very easily, while others need to be reminded that they really do belong and that they are important.

So, next time you feel alone, find someone else who is also alone; Find your place in this world. I know it can be difficult at times, but trust me, it will all be worth it. The hard things to overcome are usually worth more!
And, if you do feel like you belong, don’t be afraid to find people that seem alone and that need to be reminded that they belong and that they are accepted.

Looking forward..

Ever feel overwhelmed about “finding your purpose”?

Well, good news! Your ‘ikigai’ is always evolving!

ikigai: A Japanese concept, that means; “a reason for being”, it is very similar to the French phrase; “Raison d’être”. Everyone has an ikigai. Finding it requires a deep and often lengthy search of self during a long period of trials (storms). But, is it worth?

Well, I can tell you that, none of us know what we want to do our *entire life* (uh, no pressure). We find what fulfills us in small and big moments along the way. You’re working towards something big, at this very moment. Make time for what makes you 🙂.

You might not know where anything you do will bring you, but trust me, it will be something great.
What do you see after a huge rain storm? -a beautiful, bright and colorful rainbow! 🌈
And, What do you see at the end of that rainbow? -a pot of gold! 💰

-I guess, what I’m trying to say is that after all the trials you face in life you will be rewarded with something great! Just remember; through the trials you will learn great lessons!
Everything you are going through right now won’t lasts forever and it will lead you to something amazing, something you could never imaging! Be patient and embrace where you are now because amazing things are ahead! 🙂

Something More..

There’s gotta be something more
Gotta be more than this
I need a little less hard time
I need a little more bliss
I’m gonna take my chances
Taking a chance I might
Find what I’m looking for
There’s gotta be something more

What do I do for the rest of my life? How do I know it’s for me? How do I make a difference? How can I do what I love while being happy? I want to do something great, but how? There’s gotta be something more for me?

Chances are if you’ve ever asked yourself one of those questions, you want to do something more with your life.
Well, my friend, if you would like to continue reading, you might (hopefully) find something interesting and helpful, Happy reading!

Before I start I would just like to remind you that your future is up to you. It doesn’t have to be something Life Changing, it can be as simple as walking around your city with a smile and saying hi to people.

Tip #1: Know that whatever you do is solely your choice and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Whatever you choose to do with your life should make you happy and proud of yourself. Remember: Doing what you love will take a lot of hard work and dedication at first to convince people that you are 100% in it. Once other people realize that you are in it 100% they will understand.

Tip #2: Make sure you choose something you love and the rest will follow. (don’t choose your future based on money, follow your dream!)

Tip #3: Don’t wait until you get step by step instructions about what you should do.
And don’t use ‘waiting’ as an excuse to not do anything. If you want to do something you love for the rest of your life you have to start following your dream right now!

Tip #4: Ask yourself the following questions and you’re sure to do something more (you will love your future and it will reward you):

  • What makes you angry?
  • What keeps you up at night?
  • What problem in the world needs to be solved, in your eyes? (and makes you say somebody has got to do something about that) The restlessness in your heart is what will call you to action and make you start today.
  • What am I good at? or What are my gifts? What do other people say that I’m good at? (these don’t have to be big skills)

Tip #5: Once you know the answers to the previous questions, you have to combine them; using what you’re good at to make a difference in the thing that makes you angry.

Your life is Yours to live so, just REMEMBER; Always Work towards Your dream and You’re sure to be doing Something More with Your life!

Live Your Own Life..

I know, I know… I haven’t posted in a while (busy with school and life stuff). but that’s just excuses, the important thing is I haven’t forgot (I’ve been thinking about my next post; A LOT)

Alright, so instead of making more excuse and explaining myself, I’m just going to start this post.

Every single person on earth has different thoughts, which means we all have a different view of life, we all experience it differently and we all want to live it differently.
The one thing we all have in common is; wanting to LIVE our life to the fullest. No one has the Exact Same dreams and desires as you, but everyone has dreams and desires for their own life.

So, instead of asking people what their dreams and desires are; focus on your own goals and you will achieve success and happiness much faster.
Now, this doesn’t mean ignore other peoples’ dreams, just don’t judge them because I guarantee you that they are not judging your dream. People are just trying to live their life happily and successfully on their own terms.

To summarize, encourage others and their dreams, while also focusing on making your dreams come true. The more you encourage others, the more they will encourage you; and in the end, this will make everyone believe in themselves and everyone will accomplish their goal.

Let’s try it (if you want): Write your dream in the comments below/Encourage other people!

Fake it ’til you make it!

Disclaimer: So, I have no idea what went through your mind when reading that title but I would just like to say, Thank you for continuing to read…

Alright, so, people around you seem to know exactly what they’re doing with their life. They seem to have their life together; they have a plan that they intend to follow.

If this is how you feel, let me tell you, You are not the only one. When you see people that seem more successful than you; that’s just your mind telling you that you are failing/not trying hard enough. And, maybe, you aren’t trying…but, most of the time, we try so hard that it seems like our efforts aren’t enough because we don’t see how much progress we make each day; it’s easier to see someone else’s progress because we don’t see behind the scenes of their plan (we only see the failed attempts of our own plan). This is why faking it ’til we make it, is important because things might not be going according to your own plan, but you’re still getting somewhere, you just don’t know where yet! Failures are just preparing you for success; when you look back you will see how far you’ve come!

“Making it” doesn’t mean accomplishing all your goals, it’s the feeling you get when you’ve done something that you’ve always wanted to do.

So, whatever it is you really want to accomplish in life, you can and will do it; it just takes a lot of time, hard work, and dedication. You might have to switch your plan a few times during your journey to success, but you will make it someday. And, when you Make it, you won’t have to fake it anymore.

Keep hustling ’til you make it! It will be worth it!

Remember: Live for adventure! 🙂
