“Wow! The next generation is gonna ruin this world that we worked so hard to build for them!”
Says: people born in the 60’s

. . .

The following letter is for people born in the 60s.

Dear elder & wiser human,

Please don’t be offended by this; just read through to the end; and try to understand our point of view for once, please & thank you.

I don’t understand why you say that we are going to ruin the world because no one obviously wants to ruin the world; maybe we were just not told how we should actually treat the world.

I mean, let’s be honest, people have told us to respect the world, but those same people are always complaining about how we are gonna ruin it anyways.
So, why are you wasting your time telling us to take care of your world, but then, also complaining about the state of our world?

We just don’t get it! If you’re that worried, take initiative & teach the next generations things you learned to take care of the world, and then you won’t have to complain anymore because you taught the next generation, so you will be more confident in the future of the world with a generations that you taught.

Some of you will say: “but they don’t listen anyways, they just do their own thing.”
To you, I answer: “maybe if you stopped complaining about us, to us, we would listen to you better and actually start taking your advice. But, as long as you keep complaining about us ruining your world, we won’t take you seriously because we don’t think you really care.”

Because, to us, if you cared, you would stop complaining & give us real tips and tricks on how to treat the world because most of us are clueless (some of us realize that the future is important because we were raised with good advice, but others didn’t have older and wiser people in their lives to take advice from), so we need you to teach us things from your past that will actually help us in the future of our world!

In conclusion, please stop complaining about the next generations (us) and start doing something to better the future of our world!
Because it is OUR world and I promise you that the next generation wants to respect it as much as you, we just (sometimes) don’t know how because we are newer to this world and need to learn from our elder and more experienced humans!

The next generation
that cares about the future of our world
just as much as you!

P.S. Thank you for what you’ve done so far in our world. Please teach us things from your past to help us continue to keep the world spinning!

I can’t breathe!

It feels like I’m breathing through a straw!
No, seriously tho, some days, I really can’t breathe; that’s not just a metaphor (or click-bait).
But, it did give me the inspiration to write the following post.

Anyways… Moving on…

I feel like I’m drowning!
Everything around just seems like it’s happening!
I want to & need to start living in the moment!
But how?

. . .

Do you ever feel like you’re just going through the motion of life! You’ve become motionless because everything and everyone around you seem to have their life together, but you’re just sitting in the corner watching it all happen?

Well, if so, let me tell you that you need to get up & get out of the corner now.
Go take charge and change your life (no one will do it for you)!

You need to start living your life to the fullest, stop going through the motion!
If you hate your job, quit. If you hate your house, move.

Don’t stay somewhere (in the corner) if it’s making it impossible for you to grow and be truly happy!

And, if you can’t really quit your job or move away for some (personal) reasons, let me suggest; that you take a vacation far away from everything, where you won’t think about anything and then see what happens when you come back. If you still feel motionless then you know you have to quit your job and move somewhere new. If not, (if you found your motivation) then continue to take vacations (not just a day, try 3-4 weeks|it will make you feel much better and much more motivated) from the norm that you know to escape the motions of life for a while.

. . .

Thanks for reading!
Now, go & take that much needed vacation & just focus on breathing!

Be The Dumbest…

Humility: “A modest or low view of one’s own importance; humbleness”.
Validation: “Recognition or affirmation that a person or their feelings or opinions are valid or worthwhile”.
Ego: “A person’s sense of self-esteem or self-importance”.

. . .

These three states of mind can all work together to better your mindset and help you learn to always be the Dumbest!

. . .

Being validated is a great feeling and it usually always boosts our ego, but those who stay humble are succeeding at Being the Dumbest!

. . .

Why would I ant to be the dumbest; you ask?

Well, let me explain…

…I just finished reading this book: “How to be a Bawse”  by Lilly Singh (if you know it, we can be friends. If not, that’s okay, But you should get it and read it, it’s an amazing book).

Anyways, I just finished this book and one of chapter titles was “Be the dumbest”.
Now, just like you probably thought, I was also very confused by this title, so before reading the chapter I decided to try and guess what I thought the chapter would be about; and here’s what I came up with:

“I thought this book was about being successful and staying positive in life. Why would I want to be the dumbest; isn’t that counter productive? Shouldn’t I try to be the smartest (or at least; not dumb)?”

I then proceeded to read the chapter and it made total sense (and I just had to share it).

Being the dumbest doesn’t mean you’re stupid, it just means you don’t know everything.

You only know what you need to know to do YOUR job correctly.
If you have a question about something that is outside of your area of expertise, you shouldn’t be afraid to ask questions. Asking questions is the only way to get smarter.

I encourage you to try and ask at least 1 question a day & see what happens. However, don’t ask smart question though; ask questions that make you seem dumb, so you can learn more (the dumber the question, the more you will learn from the answer).

P.S. Learning should not stop after you graduate because even then all you know is what you learned in school, so you really ARE the dumbest. And, when you get a job all you know is how to do that specific job.
The only way to keep learning everyday is to not be afraid to ask (sometimes) stupid questions.

So next time you are at a meeting or hanging with friends try and be the dumbest person in the room (being the dumbest is better than pretending you know everything)

Buses, airplanes, trains, and anything else that transports multiple people to a certain destination.
I love it all!

. . .

Well, I can’t answer that because I don’t really know!

. . .

I know some people hate it and sometimes I do too.
Who wants to sit in a bus full a people with germs?
If you think about it that way, of course it sounds terrible.
But, think about it this way: you and a bunch of others strangers are headed in the same direction to a similar destination.

. . .

For example:
On a plane, when you are flying to your destination (maybe tropical vacation or for business); You don’t know what anyone else is doing when they get to their destination. All you know is, you probably paid the same amount of money to be on this plane (excluding business vs economy) headed to this place and you’re both going for completely different reasons.

. . .

I’ve always found this quite interesting; And, I don’t really know why, but just that thought makes public transportation interesting to me.
Thanks for reading! 🙂
P.S. Like this post if you feel the same way or if you are the complete opposite.

Alright, let’s Face it, you’ve said: “I give up!” at least once in your life.
Whether you said it because you were just done with everything or you said it because you were tired of waiting for something better; you’ve given up at least once.

. . .

Well, let me tell you, giving up just means that you need to work on your patience.

Think about it this way; If you were never patient, you would not be were you are today. You would have quit everything you ever started and would have never tried again; With patience comes determination.
You must realize that when you are patient and you don’t get discouraged, you can persevere through anything and everything; And, one day, you will not need to be patient anymore because you will have everything you’ve ever worked and waited for.

. . .

If you feel out of place, like you are at a point in your life where you are doing something that you don’t think is what you’re actually supposed to be doingRemember to persevere through it because that perseverance will give you patience and determination that will eventually get you to where you are supposed to be (where you will feel like you actually fit-in).

Thanks for reading! & Remember:

Stay patient, determined and persevere through it all!
You got this! 😉

What now?

. . .

Can my dream change?

. . .

Here I am; graduated from high school and college; with a diploma, a degree and a good paying job, but I still feel like something’s missing.
Actually, I know exactly what’s missing, but shouldn’t I still feel a sense of accomplishment?
Is this really what I’m supposed to do the rest of my life?
Of course, I know, the answer to those questions is: NO; but, how do I change it?

. . .

The answer is easy to say, but not as easy to actually accomplish;
Just Change Your Dream! (is this really possible or even acceptable?)

. . .

People say that in order to feel a true sense of accomplishment, you must follow your dreams because achieving your dreams is the only things that will make you feel accomplished!

But, what is my dream? Shouldn’t my dream be in line with my college degree? Can my dream change? Why did I go to college if it’s just to change dreams? Was college a waste of time? Is it possible or even acceptable to change my dream?

. . .

Well, if you came here for answers, I can’t answer any of those questions because I’m still figuring it out myself.
But, I can tell you that whatever you have already completed to chase your dream will help you in some way in the future.
Even if you have 0, 1 or even 3 degrees, you will achieve your “real” goal and dream one-day; just have patience & keep working hard. (also, if you have 3 degrees you are definitively on the right track to find a great dream.)
I can also tell you that; Yes, dreams CAN and WILL change because the more you know and learn, the more things you will want to learn about and the more you will change your dream to try new and different things.
Learning will help you find that Ultimate dream that will give you pure happiness!

. . .

Anyways, I hope this wasn’t too confusing & that it helped you in some way!
I’m off to go find my dream(s)!

Remember to always; Keep learning, dreaming & living life to the fullest each and every day!

. . .

Some people say: “Being curious is what kills you”.
Well, to those people, I answer back saying: “Those who are not curious have not lived”.

. . .

I mean, just think about it for a minute!

-Curiosity is probably the reason you tried all those new & scary things;
It’s probably even the reason why you are, where you are today.

-If you were never curious, you would never have:

  • moved out of home?
  • skydived?
  • got the job you work today?
  • tried new food?
  • traveled somewhere new?
  • & so much more…

I think that those who are not curious don’t enjoy life as much because let’s be honest curiosity is the only reason you stepped out of the box to do all those new, scary & exciting things.
Curiosity has gotten you to where you are today! So, don’t be afraid of the unknown, instead be curious!

Thanks for reading & Remember:

When life becomes too monotonous, let your curiosity guide you!

Curiosity makes you smarter! 😉

*Embrace your curiosity!*

Give up!

Yes, I said it, just give up already! I mean; what are you really trying to accomplish? Is anything you do going to be worth anything in the end? Do you actually matter? Why should you keep trying, you’re just going to fail anyways? You always fail, why will this time be any different?

. . .

Those questions go through my brain almost Every Single Day.

I was going to write a post on: How to deal with these questions; but to be honest, I don’t know how to deal with these thought. Some days, they just consume me, but other days, I feel like I have control over them.

So, I guess, what I’m saying is that I’m going to try my best to give you some of my tips to dealing with self-worth.

-Here we go:

  1. The first thing you should do is decide if you want these thoughts to consume you or do you want to control them.
  2. Structure your life in a way where you feel like you have meaning and value.

  3. Make each day different. Don’t just go through the motion of life, LIVE your life!
See post: Live Your Own Life..
  4. Remember that when these thoughts consume you, it usually means that tomorrow will be a better day.
    See post: It Gets Better!
  5. Make sure you are doing what makes YOU happy!
  6. Stop worrying about what other people think, BE YOU!
  7. Stop overthinking!!
